Hi, I'm Josh. After earning a B.A. in Finance (no, not computer science!) from Wofford College in 2001, I have been working in the information technology industry ever since. Unable to land a full time position that I could tolerate after graduation, I launched JB Design -- a very small business specializing in designing and developing web sites for small to medium sized businesses.
Realizing that I wanted to get more into the engineering and administration side of things I accepted a full time position in Lexington, KY which one year later led me to my current position and home in Chicago, IL. I currently work full time as a Sr. Systems Administrator for a corporation based out of Chicagoland. I am mainly responsible for the Linux and UNIX environments but also dabble in a number of other interesting technologies.
In my spare time, I still take on freelance web development jobs ranging from simple static sites to more complex database-driven dynamic sites.
